Apron Drive DewbridgeTM
The Apron Drive DewbridgeTM is available in 2-tunnel and 3-tunnel models of varying length. Designed to meet industry standards, the Apron Drive is the bridge type most commonly purchased by airports because of its flexibility to service a wide range of aircraft.
Overview
Apron Drive Dewbridges™ are available in a range
of sizes in 2-tunnel and 3-tunnel models. Apron Drive Bridges are
designed to service regional jets, narrow-body and wide-body aircraft.
Mating to a wide range of aircraft is accomplished through the innovative cab and canopy design on the Dewbridge Apron Drive Bridge series. The canopy closure is designed specifically to fit smaller fuselages of regional and narrow-body aircraft while providing an effective seal on larger aircraft.
It should be noted that unlike our Radial Dewbridge™, the Apron Drive cannot service any propeller aircraft due to proximity of the propellers; nor will it service aircraft with non-collapsible handrails.
In many cases, building doorsill height, aircraft parking layouts and apron grade affect the ability of passenger boarding bridges to service all aircraft and remain compliant with ADA. DEW can provide assistance or direction with bridge and aircraft parking layout optimization for our full range of products.
